INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

1.    This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. 733 of August 31, 2008.

2.    Bosnia and Herzegovina has received financing from the International Development Association toward the cost of Avian Influenza Preparedness Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Various Equipment for AIPP, BA-AIPP-4331BOS-ICB-G-10-Various Equipment for AIPP.

3.    Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska / Project Coordination Unit now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Procurement of Various Equipment for AIPP. Prices quoted shall correspond to 100 % of the quantities specified.

4.    Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures (ICB) specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

5.    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from Monday to Friday between 9:00AM to 3:00PM local time.

6.    Qualifications requirements include:
(a)    The minimum required annual financial turnover for the successful Bidder shall be:
For each LOT: EUR 100,000; in any of the previous three years (2007, 2008 and 2009).
(b)    Completion of at one (1) substantially similar supplies in the last three years (2007-2009). The Bidder shall specify type, quantity and total value of such supply and shall demonstrate that it had more than one delivery sites with specification of delivery places.
(c)    Minimum number of years in supply of similar equipment business: 5 years.
A margin of preference for eligible national contractors shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
