The introduction of information systems in primary health care through the use of application software for family medicine teams, which was developed and tested (in practical work) for the purposes of a pilot project to introduce family medicine model in DZ Laktaši and was in operation almost three years, will provide:
- Electronic records of all data related to registered citizens, such as managing health records, health insurance status, etc.
- Scheduling exams;
- Keeping records concerning the implementation of projects in the field of health promotion, disease prevention and health education, treatment planning and management of chronic diseases;
- Planning and rationalization of prescribing continuous therapy, monitoring and analysis of issuing prescriptions with the possibility of cross-analysis of data in the line of patient-physician-pharmacy-HIF;
- Planning and management of financial resources; generation of various formats uzvještaja the key institutions of the health system for the defined time intervals.
The project will implement the following activities:
- Equipping of health centers and family health information technology (workstations, servers, printers, scanners and network equipment)
- Install system software;
- Installing application programs, education of personnel (doctors and nurses) in health centers to work with application programs;
- Providing communication all relevant institutions of the health system through several stages of RS, from starting with a manual or a file-transfer data transmission ended with a direct connection outpatient family medicne-DZ-relevant institutions.
